Splync is developed and operated by Labxbit. We take the privacy and security of our users seriously. This Privacy Policy describes how we protect your information and ensure safe use of our services.

This Privacy Policy is available in multiple languages for convenience. In the event of any inconsistency, the English version shall prevail as the legally binding version.

We collect the following types of information to operate and improve the app:

Email address and display name (used for login and identification)
Optional profile photos
Project data, including categories, budgets, expenses, memos, and members
Friend relationships and notifications
Anonymous usage data (for performance and crash analysis)

We do not collect or store credit card information or payment credentials.

2. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following cases:

You have given explicit consent
It is required by law or legal process
It is necessary for app functionality (e.g., displaying settlement results to project members)

3. Security Measures

All communication is encrypted using SSL/TLS.
Passwords are hashed securely and never stored in plain text.
Our database is protected by access controls and server-level security.

4. Authentication

Login is via email and password.
We have implemented brute-force attack protection: accounts are temporarily locked after multiple failed login attempts to prevent unauthorized access.
Users are encouraged to use unique, strong passwords.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Users may request account deletion by contacting us.

For fairness and traceability, project data (such as expenses and settlements) may be retained for other involved users even after deletion of the sender's account.

We may revise this policy as necessary. Major changes will be communicated through the app or via email.
